Taylor Swift added another milestone achievement to her illustrious career at this year’s Grammy Awards. The pop icon took home her fourth career Album of the Year trophy for her blockbuster 2022 release ‘Midnights.’
Presenting the award was legendary singer Celine Dion, who made a rare public appearance following her diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome in 2022. Dion passionately endorsed the significance of music in people’s lives before announcing Swift as the winner.
Swift was joined on stage by trusted producer Jack Antonoff and featured artist Lana Del Rey. She warmly praised both collaborators, calling Antonoff “one of my best friends and a once-in-a-generation producer,” and referring to Del Rey as “a legacy artist, a legend in her prime right now.”
Though overwhelmed by the honor, Swift reflected that her true joy comes from the creative process itself. “All I wanna do is to be able to keep doing this” she said.
‘Midnights’ continues Swift’s remarkable streak, following previous Album of the Year wins for ‘Fearless,’ ‘1989,’ and ‘Folklore.’ She now stands alone in Grammys history, surpassing artists like Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, and Paul Simon with four career wins in the category.
As Celine Dion herself knows, having earned the award in 1997 for the diamond-certified ‘Falling Into You,’ few artistic achievements are as prestigious as taking home Album of the Year at the Grammys. On this unforgettable night, Taylor Swift added yet another to her storied legacy.
