TikTok’s music discovery features continue to expand globally. The popular social video platform recently rolled out its “Add to Music App” function to more countries after a successful initial launch.

The tool allows TikTok users to easily save songs they encounter on the app directly to their preferred music streaming services, such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. It aims to streamline the process of music discovery on TikTok and helping more tracks reach new audiences.

Originally debuting in the United States and United Kingdom, TikTok has now brought “Add to Music App” to an additional 19 markets. Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Sweden, Thailand, Malaysia, UAE, Argentina, Colombia, Netherlands, Turkey, South Africa, Vietnam, and Philippines now have access to this functionality.

The rollout expands the opportunity for direct music discovery between TikTok and streaming platforms. With a simple button, users can opt to save songs they find engaging to playlists on services like Spotify’s “Liked Songs” or curated playlists on Amazon Music.

Ole Obermann, TikTok’s Global Head of Music Business Development, stated that the initial launch saw enthusiastic response from music fans embracing the ease of discovery. By streamlining the transition between platforms, it aims to expose more artists and tracks to new audiences.

The company looks to foster closer ties between creators and fans. Recent updates include enhanced artist profiles and promotional tools and come as TikTok solidifies its position as a driver of music trends. With continuous innovation, it hopes to transform online music experiences globally.
