Beyoncé made a grand entrance at the premiere of her highly anticipated concert documentary “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” this past Saturday. The music icon was dazzling in a gorgeous silver gown by Versace as she greeted fans on the chrome carpet. Joining Queen Bey were several guests, including fellow Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Other notable attendees included singers Janelle Monáe and Lizzo, actress Gabrielle Union, and director Ava DuVernay.
While Beyoncé let her glamorous outfit do the talking and avoided formally posing for photos, she was all smiles mingling with loved ones inside the theater. In attendance supporting their daughter were parents Tina and Mathew Knowles. The screening took place at the esteemed Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, treating select viewers to a concert clip from Beyoncé’s record-breaking “Renaissance” world tour.
The multi-talented artist not only starred in the documentary but also executive produced and co-directed it. In an Instagram post, Director Ava DuVernay expressed being deeply moved by a candid moment where Beyoncé openly discusses facing doubters in her career journey as a Black female leader. DuVernay highlighted the rarity of seeing such real experiences depicted on the big screen.
Longtime publicist Yvette Noel-Schure echoed similar praise, saying the premiere left her at a loss for words aside from seconding everything DuVernay said. Noel-Schure added that fans are in for a real treat exploring “the most creative mind on Mother Earth,” emphasizing how incredible Beyoncé looked.
