Ariana Grande and her boyfriend Ethan Slater made their relationship public this past weekend through a fun theater outing in New York City. The couple, who began dating earlier this year after meeting on the set of the upcoming Wicked movie, spent their Sunday evening taking in a performance of the musical comedy Gutenberg! The Musical!
Both Ariana and Ethan looked casual and comfortable as they enjoyed the show together. Ariana wore a gray sweater with a black skirt and tights, finishing her look with white heels. She made sure to stay warm with a black winter jacket. Ethan sported a laidback look of his own, in a striped white sweater and blue jeans. Photos later showed the two exiting the theater, with Ethan now in a brown sweatshirt, black pants and beanie to match the chillier evening weather.
The stars of Gutenberg!, Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells, shared photos on Instagram of the full group enjoying a post-show dinner together. Rannells remarked how it was the “perfect Sunday” getting to spend time with friends like Ethan, his Spamalot costar Michael Urie, and of course Ariana. Ethan is currently starring as Prince Herbert in the Broadway production of Spamalot.
Josh Gad also posted about the fun night out with Ethan and Ariana to his Instagram stories, thanking Ethan for his work in Gutenberg! despite his busy Spamalot schedule. Ariana herself confirmed being there through a photo on her own story, showing her playbill signed by both Josh and Andrew. It was clear the new couple had a fun theater date supporting their friends on Broadway.
