Details have emerged this week that pop star Miley Cyrus has obtained a restraining order against a man who has been fixated on her for years. The 30-year-old musician, known for hits like “Wrecking Ball” and headline-grabbing performances, reportedly submitted court documents alleging Alexander Kardalian arrived at her private home just days after being freed from prison.
In her legal filing, Cyrus stated the 52-year-old Kardalian has sent unwanted letters since 2018 expressing an unhealthy obsession. Furthermore, he allegedly made sexually inappropriate comments about her and frequently pressed for money. Last summer stood out especially, as he is said to have unexpectedly shown up uninvited at her LA residence on two occasions, requiring security to escort him off the property both times.
It’s claimed Kardalian was incarcerated in December at San Quentin but granted release this past August. Per Cyrus’ account, he proceeded to return to her property just days later, going against his probation. A letter was also sent where he warned he would promptly visit upon his release. While security prevented a confrontation at that time, he later disregarded a warning to stay away and returned, prompting Cyrus to take legal action.
Adding to concerns, Kardalian has reportedly used Cyrus’ address for medical paperwork needs. Faced with this escalating situation spanning years, Cyrus appropriately sought the courts’ protection to feel secure in her own home without fear. With such troubling behavior documented, her prioritizing peace of mind through a restraining order is understandable.
