SZA has been killing it lately since dropping her album “SOS” late last year. This month just keeps getting better for the super talented singer, as she just scored a huge honor from Variety Magazine – their 2023 Hitmaker Of The Year!
SZA is among the first to be highlighted for Variety’s 7th annual Hitmakers celebration happening early next month. Others on the list include big names like Metro Boomin, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish and more.
Variety’s music editor Jem Aswad clearly loves SZA’s award winning album, noting that “”SOS”, her tour, and all her hits this year represent not just an incredible artistic and commercial success, but one that impacts far more than just the music world.
As Aswad added, “We are so proud to honor her as our Hitmaker of the Year and to honor Olivia Rodrigo, Metro Boomin, Maren Morris, and more.”
Last week, SZA was one of six celebrated at the Wall Street Journal’s 13th annual Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Girl is definitely having an amazing year!
