After nearly two decades away from the studio, Hollywood heavyweight Will Smith is ready to make his grand return to music. In an Instagram live video this week, the legendary entertainer revealed to fans that his long-awaited album is finally complete after a year and a half in the making.

“Over the past year and a half, I’ve been in the studio. I have a project that is the most personal and powerful music project I’ve ever done. The idea of the music is, ‘Dance in your darkest moments.'”

Teasing new heat with rapper Russ dropping this Friday, Smith gave a taste of what’s to come with an infectious message – music to shake off your blues and dance through difficulties. After dropping cuts on the Bad Boys soundtrack earlier this year, it’s clear the Fresh Prince isn’t playing around in his comeback to the booth.

He’s ready to take the throne again with an official full-length to top anything in his storied career. Built on features with Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, and more, plus recent flames alongside Joyner Lucas and Bad Bunny, Smith is touching all corners in his long-awaited return.
