LyricFind has expanded its capabilities with the acquisition of AI video creation platform Rotor Videos. The company also announced a new partnership with indie music distributor CD Baby to provide integrated video solutions.
Rotor Videos, based in Belfast, utilizes proprietary AI analysis to streamline the music video creation process for artists. The nine-year-old company enables users to easily generate customized videos such as Spotify Canvas clips, social media content, and lyric videos without prior video skills.
As part of the deal, Rotor founder Diarmuid Moloney will continue leading the team under the LyricFind brand. Moloney expressed enthusiasm about leveraging LyricFind’s resources to realize the full potential of Rotor’s technologies and solutions. Darryl Ballantyne, LyricFind’s CEO, praised Rotor as a strategic fit that extends LyricFind’s existing lyric offerings into high-growth video content.
The collaboration with CD Baby gives that company’s indie artists direct access to Rotor and LyricFind’s lyric video maker. This will offer artists an easy way to generate professional-quality videos directly within the CD Baby platform. Scott Williams, CD Baby’s president, commented that the partnership will provide integrated video capabilities benefitting their artist community.
Financial details were not disclosed, but the acquisition aims to expand LyricFind’s solutions portfolio and capitalize on booming demand for music video consumption. The deal positions LyricFind at the forefront of the lyric and video content space to better serve creators and fans.
