In a significant move for the music tech sector, Music AI has successfully completed a Series A funding round, raising $40 million. This notable investment round was co-led by Connect Ventures and Monashees, with contributions from well-known artists such as Steve Aoki, 3lau, Freddy Wexler, and Alexander23.

The company is best known for its innovative platform, Moises, which started as a tool for isolating vocals and instruments but has evolved to include licensed voice-cloning and music creation features. Moises has gained immense popularity, boasting over 50 million users, a substantial jump from 30 million in April 2023. Recently, it earned the title of ‘iPad App of the Year’ for 2024 from Apple.

This new funding will support Music AI’s expansion plans, with a strong emphasis on developing “ethical AI solutions” that utilize fully licensed content. As the music industry adapts to technological advancements, Music AI is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping its future.
