The drama between rappers Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez refuses to die down, as their friend-turned-enemy Drake has now inserted himself directly in the middle of the controversy.
In a shocking move that ignited the internet, Drake took to Instagram stories to publicly show support for Lanez amid his appeals trial. The pop star posted a photo of Lanez with the cryptic caption “3 you”, which fans immediately decoded as “free you” symbolizing getting out of prison.
Lanez is desperately fighting the 10-year prison sentence handed down just last month for the 2020 shooting of Megan at a celebrity backyard party. A guilty verdict was reached after a highly publicized trial, but Lanez insists on appealing, claiming it wasn’t him who pulled the trigger that night. Now with Drake in his corner agitating for his release, things are about to get uglier.
Fans may recall Drake took a thinly-veiled dig at the “WAP” rapper on his recent album, implying she was lying about the shooting. Megan fired back on social media, slamming rappers like Drake for dismissing violence against women. The feud clearly still simmers below the surface on both sides.
