Charli XCX capped off a highly successful year with a surprising revelation: a leaked Letterboxd account showcasing her extensive film viewing habits. The account, initially unconfirmed, was tacitly acknowledged by Charli herself with a simple bio update: “my account got leaked i guess.” The ensuing fan frenzy revealed a diverse cinematic taste and a refreshingly candid review style.

Charli’s 2024 film consumption is impressive: a total of 210 films. Her selections range from mainstream hits like Charlie’s Angels to arthouse favorites such as Céline and Julie Go Boating and cult classics like Bride of Frankenstein. This eclectic mix highlights a wide-ranging cinematic appreciation.

Unlike many celebrity reviews, Charli’s are refreshingly straightforward. Her take on Moneyball? “This isn’t for British people.” The Brad Pitt-led film received a concise, yet humorous assessment. Her reaction to Challengers detailed a post-movie night out that ended at 5 AM. Other reviews ranged from simple observations (“there were a lot of songs in this!” – A Complete Unknown) to more personal comments, like a review of The Tragedy of Macbeth mentioning her fiancé’s LEGO building. Even her viewing of Under the Skin resulted in a creative note: “make next album w mica levi.”
