Britney Spears has been secretly working on a new creative project. In a cryptic social media post, she hinted at collaborating with famous producer Marc Platt, known for hit movies. Fans speculated it involved a rumored biopic based on her memoir.

However, Spears provided more clues this weekend. In an Instagram update, she clarified the undisclosed project is not a biographical film after all. Instead, it’s a fictional musical where she’ll take on an “extremely intelligent” leading role. She expressed excitement to be collaborating with acclaimed director Jon M. Chu on this endeavor.

Reports previously surfaced that Chu and Platt were attached to adapt Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” for a biopic. Her book gave readers an intimate look into her personal journey and rise to fame in the music industry. Universal Pictures reportedly won the rights to the best-selling autobiography.

While details on the actual project remain vague, Spears is stepping back into the creative spotlight in a new theatrical production.
