Bandcamp has announced that it will donate 100% of its revenue share on February 7 to MusiCares, a non-profit supporting those in the music industry impacted by natural disasters. This initiative aims to aid the recovery efforts for the Los Angeles music community affected by recent wildfires.

Bandcamp is partnering with industry leaders like A2IM, Harman, Lagunitas, Roland, Shure, Victrola, and WIN to amplify the fundraiser’s reach and maximize its impact. “Los Angeles is the hub of the music industry, and the wildfires have impacted every part of it,” said Dan Melnick, Bandcamp’s General Manager. “Bandcamp is proud to do our part to directly support musicians in LA, rallying the power of our community and music to help them rebuild.”

Bandcamp has long championed independent artists, having generated over $131 million for musicians and labels through platforms like Bandcamp Fridays. The company is encouraging artists to contribute to the relief efforts by adding new content, while also calling on fans to support their favorite acts.

Bryan Biniak, President of Songtradr (Bandcamp’s parent company), praised the initiative as “a testament to the power of collaboration in supporting the music community when it’s needed most.” The company has also announced its Bandcamp Fridays schedule for 2025, providing ongoing support for the independent music ecosystem.
