Pop superstar Adele surprised fans with the announcement of a series of upcoming summer concerts in Munich, Germany. The four shows, scheduled for August 2024, will mark the singer’s first live European performances since 2016.

In a post on Instagram, Adele shared her excitement about the “bespoke pop-up stadium” being constructed specifically for these unique concert dates. “However, I was too curious to not follow up and indulge in this idea – a one off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on? Ohh!? Pretty much slap bang in the middle of Europe? In Munich? That’s a bit random, but still fabulous!,” she wrote. What particularly piqued her interest was the location – right in the heart of Europe in the beautiful city of Munich.

Adele cited several additional factors that influenced her decision to embark on this concert run. As both the UEFA Euro 2024 soccer tournament and 2024 Summer Olympics will take place in Europe shortly, she saw it as the perfect opportunity. “Right after the Euros? Come on England! With the Olympics next door? Go on Simone! And some of my favourite artists playing shows too? Why…YES!!,,” she shared. She also looked forward to experiencing some of her favorite musicians’ shows happening around the same time.
