Chappell Roan will perform at this year’s Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. The annual fundraiser, now in its 33rd year, takes place March 2 and brings together entertainment industry leaders to support the fight against AIDS.
The Foundation’s efforts focus on HIV prevention, fighting discrimination, and supporting vulnerable communities through healthcare and education. Since starting in 1992, the viewing party has generated nearly $115 million in donations.
Elton John highlighted how music continues to play a crucial role in uniting people and raising awareness about AIDS, which still affects communities worldwide with one death per minute. He praised Roan’s addition to the event, pointing to her ability to inspire change through music.
