Sabrina Carpenter has been lighting up stages as Taylor Swift’s special guest on the massive Eras Tour across the globe. But back in April, some off-stage chatter emerged when Sabrina landed a sultry boudoir shoot with Skims. Why all the buzz? Well, Skims’ founder Kim Kardashian and pop royalty Taylor have traded barbs in the past.
Some Swifties speculated online that Taylor might not be feeling Sabrina’s new campaign given her history with Kim. But as the “Espresso” singer told Rolling Stone this week, there was no truth to the rumors. How did she handle it?
“In that scenario, I’ve been very, very communicative with her about that situation, and I just love her so much and support her till the end,” Sabrina said. She says she discussed the opportunity with her tour mate well before the photos dropped to avoid any surprises. “We’re very, very verbal with each other about our mutual love and admiration.”
Sabrina says while she couldn’t avoid online chatter, she chose not to engage. “So it was no weirdness for me, but I know people will just say things because that’s all they have time to do.”
The 25-year-old also hinted reports of drama were overhyped. She and Taylor were all smiles at Coachella following the alleged controversy.
